THE EXPLOSIVE NEW YORK TIMES AND NATIONAL BESTSELLER

Push beyond your physical limits to improve yourself by following bowhunter and ultramarathoner Cameron Hanes’s lifelong philosophies and disciplines.

“It’s all mental.”

I say this all the time, and it’s true.
If you believe you can do it, you can.
We all have virtually limitless potential.
Our bodies are capable of so much more than what we ask of them.
Take off the mental handcuffs, get out there, and start on your way today.
What is your passion? You can become better at it.
Committing yourself to fitness only fuels your beliefs.
You gotta believe to achieve.

Cameron Hanes discovered his true passion for bowhunting when he was twenty. Inspired by the physical challenges of stalking elk in the Oregon wilderness―traversing mountainous terrain, braving erratic weather, and evading his quarry’s even more dangerous predators―he began an ever-evolving journey of self-improvement. To become the best bowhunter of wild elk, to the caliber he believed he could be, Cam realized he would need more than archery skills. He would need the stamina and strength that could only come from an athletic training regimen of long-distance running and heavy-weight lifting. And every day for more than thirty years, Cam has put in the work, building miles and muscles, pushing through pain with a single-minded focus on the only goal worth having―besting himself time and again.

Part memoir, part motivational manifesto, Endure reveals how Cam―a self-professed average guy―put himself through the paces to live the life of an expert bowhunter, respected writer, and family man. With discipline, sacrifice, resilience, a hard work ethic, and a belief in his own capabilities, Cam not only accomplished his dreams but continues to surpass them. There is no secret to his success except relentless determination and loyal dedication to his own self-worth.

If Cam can do it, we all can. Everyone has what it takes to endure adversity so we can rise above average, be the best we can be, and enjoy living life to the fullest.

Editorial Reviews

Review

“I have trained with many of the toughest and hardest men on the planet, and only one stands out. That one is Cameron Hanes.” ―David Goggins, New York Times bestselling author of Can’t Hurt Me

“Cameron Hanes is a master at one of the art forms that gets the least amount of attention: the art of the maximized life.” ―Joe Rogan, from the Foreword

About the Author

CAMERON HANES’ greatest love is bowhunting the remote wildernesses of the West and Alaska. To get ready for bow season, he shoots his bow every single day of the year, trains in the weight room 7-days a week and runs 200+ mile ultra marathons in the mountains during the off-season in an effort to toughen up for the mental and physical tests that he’ll face in the backcountry. His goal, which he knows is a target he’ll never hit, is to become the “Ultimate Predator.”

Pushing his body to failure and raising the bar to this level is what best defines Cameron Hanes. He has inspired and motivated millions of people through his writings, television appearances and social media postings.

JOE ROGAN is the host of the popular podcast The Joe Rogan Experience.

Hey, guys! Let me tell you about Cameron Hanes and his amazing journey into the world of bowhunting! So, when he was just twenty, he stumbled upon his true passion while stalking elk in the rugged Oregon wilderness. Imagine the challenges – crazy weather, tough terrains, and even dangerous predators to dodge! But that’s where it all started for Cam.He wasn’t content with just average bowhunting skills; he wanted to be the ultimate wild elk bowhunter! So, he knew he needed more than just archery chops. That’s when he decided to get into some serious athletic training – long-distance running and heavy-weight lifting became his jam.And guess what? For over thirty years now, Cam’s been grinding it out every single day, building both miles and muscles. He’s all about pushing past pain and beating his own records time and time again. Talk about dedication, right? Now, his story isn’t just about hunting and muscles; it’s also about self-improvement and motivation. “Endure” is part memoir, part motivational manifesto, where Cam shares how he transformed from an average dude to a top-notch bowhunter, writer, and family man. It’s all about discipline, resilience, and hard work. He truly believes in himself, and that’s what got him where he is today. And guess what? Cam’s inspiring us all! He’s proof that if he can do it, so can we! He’s got no secret recipe for success – just relentless determination and a strong belief in his own worth. So, let’s all take a page from his book and face adversity head-on. We can rise above average and be the best version of ourselves, just like Cam did. Let’s embrace life to the fullest, folks!

This book is absolutely great. People who didn’t finish the book or just quit reading because they didn’t like it or don’t understand what it really means to succeed in life and are bashing Cam well sorry but No Body Cares. Cam for sure doesn’t, it says so in his book, haters will hate and do anything to tear someone down because they’re achieving their goals and they aren’t so. Those who say he brag’s about not spending time with his family obviously didn’t finish the book because at the end he talks about his family and how much they have achieved in their lives because of him pushing them to go outside the box and how to work hard and grind through the tough times. The story line is wonderful, his writing style is simple and not complex. Cam makes you question your self and makes you think about what your doing in your life. He also mentions that what he does isn’t what you should do. Do what works for you, he’s a true inspiration truthfully because he went against what society now a day’s say’s we should do, he broke for free of society’s change. In truth reading this book with a complete open mind is everything, Cam is not a motivational writer but a man who shows his story and progress in how to be determined and out working those around him but he stay’s truly humble in his life, he still works a 8 hour day job and only takes vacation day’s for hunting but he makes time to spend with his family every day and because of his hard work his family became his biggest supporters and because of his hard work they also became hard workers and are achieving more than a normal society person would. In truth he pulled them up the mountain and in return for him pulling them up they held him up when he stumbled. It’s a absolutely a great book and must read for those who feel like they don’t follow society say’s rules.Stay Hard, Keep Hammering

Before reading this book I was not running nor have I ever bow hunted. For 3 years leading into this year I’ve been talking about getting into bow hunting but haven’t yet. I also haven’t laced up a pair of running shoes in 12+ years and back when I stopped I told myself I would never run distances again. I don’t think this book should be thought of as an inspiration to bow hunt, run, or lift. I think it more accurately inspires one to do more, better themselves, and work to find or invest in your passions. To become obsessed.I’ve read the book and listened to the audio book. In effort to not be a total fanboy, I don’t think Cam is the best story teller but he does a pretty damn good job for a bowhunter. I love his mantra of not giving advice, he more simply says what he does. I can respect and appreciate that approach. So while Cam doesn’t give advice I think we need to analyze his actions and results to understand that both his successes in bowhunting and even ultra running really do speak for themselves. Cam’s found a way to work harder and now lives a life surrounded by greats for other fields which he continues to instill their mindsets into honing his own craft. From Cam’s early decision in life when he found bow hunting that lead a life inspired to stop drinking and dedicate himself to his craft, to being obsessed, not listening to his haters or the “must be nice” crowd, and so on, this book leads by example for chasing your passions and dreams.I will say that ironically (or maybe not so ironically…) I’m running again and loving it. My first 3 weeks back admittedly sucked bad and hurt. Since starting running again 50 days ago, I’ve only missed 3 runs. After the hardship and pain in the first 3 weeks I now look forward to daily runs despite how sore, busy, or even unmotivated I am because I know that during and after that sense of accomplishment and mind clearing is worth it. As a father of a very active 2.5 year old, getting back into running is for me and him. I need to be able to keep up, have a strong heart and have the energy to help him chase his dreams. I feel that running will help me do that. I’m also going into my local bow shop soon to chase a long time goal of bow hunting. My wife and I renovated her grandparents farm home that sits on 110 acres, so I’m excited to be more self-sufficient. I know that her grandpa would have a big smile on his face knowing that I’m hunting the land that he had hunted for over 60 years now.So, I definitely want to thank Cam for lighting a fire under me to be better, start checking goals off of my list and find my passion to be obsessed over. Keep Hammering!

I bought this book because I’m a David Goggins fan. Cameron seems to be a lot more mellow than DG. This book took me about 60 pages to get into it, I really wanted to give up on it but for my personal opinion the book got really good after 60 pages. Some things are kinda repetitively mentioned in the book. But the book does get good and very interesting later on. I have this a solid 4.

“Endure” isn’t just a book, it’s a call to action. Hanes’ raw honesty and relentless drive are contagious, making you question your own limits. What I loved: * Authenticity: Hanes doesn’t sugarcoat the struggle. It’s earned through relentless effort and unwavering belief. If you’re ready to challenge yourself and embrace the “Keep Hammering” mindset, this book is a must-read.I read it, and listened to it on audio book. Both were totally worth the investment of time 🙂

Great motivation and a useful mindset!
I thought this book was a great read, the mindset of being average and working hard really can inspire anyone, like it did for me!Only constructive criticism I have is that it may have been a little bit repetitive around bowhunting at times. But a great book and definitely worth getting, thanks Cam!Keep Hamering!
