I’m not a whiskey drinker but I’m a hot sauce enjoyer =} As such these are some really good sauces with really distinctive flavors. I tried them on my usual chicken since it is kind of bland and could always use some spicing up. The cinnamon is to die for..a little sweet nicely hot nice cinnamon flavor. The buffalo is really just what I expect when something says it is buffalo flavor. The Southern Comfort I didn’t like as much. It’s good but erm…odd? Overall I would be happy to serve this to anyone who loves hot sauce which is my entire family =} All of them love to try different sauces like I do. These stand out.

I ordered both this set of hot sauces as well as the matching set of seasonings, and in both cases the Fireball whiskey is the clear winner. This sauce has a lot of sweet whiskey-plus-cinnamon flavor on top of the heat. It’s now my go-to drizzle for chicken and waffles.The Southern Comfort hot sauce is probably the most boring and is most similar to a basic red hot sauce. The Buffalo Trace sauce is pleasant and has a bit more flavor, but I don’t think it’s anything special and is also more heat than flavor.

All three of these sauces are red cayenne based, so they will give the expected spicy red kick of a red hot sauce. They’re otherwise pretty vinegar-forward, but you can definitely taste the unique flavor of each of the three whiskeys they are made with, which is very cool.I was uncertain about the Fireball one but it’s not overwhelmingly cinnamon-y; most of the spice is coming from the cayenne and you get just a hint of sweet from the cinnamon that works better than I’d expected. Buffalo Trace is great on a plate of jambalaya or something, especially if it has some smoked sausage in it. I found it to be the savoriest of the three. Southern Comfort stands alone well even if you don’t pair it with other strong flavors, so if something is lacking flavor, I’d probably reach for it. Overall, a cool set of three sauces that most would like.

These were “just ok” type of sauces. I don’t feel like the Southern Comfort or Buffalo Trace were very exciting nor did they do much to displace other hot sauces for me. For one, they lacked the heat I would prefer so if you like mild hot sauces, this is for you. The Fireball was interesting, heat with some cinnamon peeking through, I imagine that if you like Fireball as a drink, you’d really like this. All in all, they are fine as a novel gift.

We’ve been buying a lot of different hot sauces, chili sauces, and chili crisps lately. I’ve gradually stepped up my heat consumption to the point that I can now handle almost any heat level. We also have other people in our lives that feel the same way about spicy foods and sauces. When I was looking around for something to use at home, I saw this 3 pack variety pack of whiskey flavored hot sauces and I couldn’t resist ordering. I may end up using it myself, it seems so fun, but for now, we’re deciding on who might be the lucky recipient of this as a gift. So many possibilities. We all have family or friends that like the heat, so if you’re the same, this will make a great gift.

The hot sauce in this pack is very good! Being a whiskey and hot sauce enthusiast I thought these would be really good and they are! The Buffalo trace has a strong smokey whiskey flavor with a nice aftertaste. The southern comfort is my favorite. It has a slightly fruit while still spicy flavor and a smooth whiskey flavor and a nice aftertaste as well. The spice in these sauces are Red Cayenne peppers so it has decent heat with great flavor! It is neat that they also include a small recipe for using these hot sauces on the labels as well! Overall these are a 5/5! If you like hot sauce and whiskey you will like these!

We found this hot sauce to be quite runny, however, it is a nice variety to please many different tastes. The Southern Comfort is mild-to-moderately hot, without much kick. This pleased one in the family, especially since the flavor and heat dissipated very quickly. I would say with that one, the flavor wasn’t too strong either. I like that all the ingredients are clearly marked on the bottle and in the listing description – there is more to each than just peppers and vinegar, not like traditional plain hote sauce. I found the three bottles to be very attractive, making this a nice gift set.
