.121“The ingredients in the .121 sauce from The Joe Rogan Collection come together so that when you crack open a bottle, it tastes freshly-made. There’s a unique freshness to that combination of habanero, bell pepper and black lime. Add to that sweet Spanish smoked paprika. Plus naturally sun-dried Urfa Chili from Turkey. Plus Arbequina olive oil. It all works together for an incredible burst of flavor.” – Nico Lechuga |
.888“The chiles in our .888 Joe Rogan x Señor Lechuga Hot Sauce are special in that they are sourced specifically from the Oaxaca region of Mexico and they are very hard to find and cultivate. In the US, the main smoked dried pepper is chipotle. But we wanted to bring a new flavor, a new experience to people, to taste something they likely never had. The Chilhuacle and Pasilla de Oaxaca chiles are rich and complex, providing a depth to the .888 sauce that is unexpected. You do not need a lot of this sauce to carry a meal. A little goes a long way.” – Nico Lechuga |
.5326“A lot of people say they love truffle products but it’s actually very rare to have a truffle oil, or sauce, or any truffle product, that doesn’t use artificial essences, aromas or flavoring agents. Our .5326 Joe Rogan x Half Face Blades x Señor Lechuga Hot Sauce is 100% all natural. We use both black Périgord winter truffles and white truffle olive oil. We wanted our customers to get to experience this flavor in its natural form. It’s delicious.” – Nico Lechuga |

Q: What do the numbers mean?
A: All of our sauces are named with a short string of digits. The .001, .002 and .003 make up our core collection. For the core line, the sauce with the most reapers is .001 and the least reapers is .003. For all of our collaboration sauces, the digits represent something meaningful or significant from the partnership. It could be a country code, a street address, a score, an area code… the digits tell a story. .121 This is Richard Pryor’s birthday. December 1. Pryor was the first comedian Joe listened to who inspired him to pursue comedy. .888 This is the month and year of Joe’s first standup show. .5326 This is the only existing (non custom) flavor in The Joe Rogan Collection. The .5326 sauce was originally crafted in collaboration with Andy Arrabito of Half Face Blades. The digits are a NSW reference.

Q: Why is there one existing flavor in the collection?
A: The .5326 truffle hot sauce with Half Face Blades launched in Oct 2022. It was the first sauce of ours Joe ever tried. He loved the flavor and we connected on instagram. And so it began…

Q: Beyond his name, how did Joe contribute to this?
A: We were first connected with Joe right after he tasted and loved our .5326 hot sauce (a collaboration with Half Face Blades). In crafting the custom sauces, Joe tested our full lineup to start. We talked through flavors and heat levels. We talked specific ingredients. (Our goal was to source rare, unique, ultra-premium ingredients to differentiate the collection.) Joe tested samples with different flavors and varying heat levels. We tweaked recipes. And Joe picked the final custom sauces. On the creative side, we presented ideas for custom sauce names, fonts, labels, graphic treatments, images, copy… and from what we presented, Joe selected and approved what he liked best. Joe was involved at each step beyond standing behind the collection by putting his name on it.
We are known for FIRE. Maximum heat without compromised flavor. So a lot of you want to know, how hot are the new custom flavors?
Our intention with The Joe Rogan Collection was to take you on a culinary experience with three increasing heat levels.
The .121 features habanero; it has heat but is manageable for most.
The .5326 features reapers; it’s fiery but perfectly balanced by heirloom tomatoes, truffles and truffle olive oil.
The .888 features ghost peppers: it may make you cry but you’ll come back for more.
If you’re new to us and not a self-described chilihead, enter with .121, level up to .5326, graduate with .888.
If you’re a regular fire-eater, crack them all open and light it up.
Get after it.

I am a hot sauce nut, and I was excited to try this one being a JR listener for decades. I have about 20 hot sauces in my fridge, including sauces made from Carolina reaper, scorpion and ghost peppers. I don’t always need to have my doors blown off with heat, so I often use sauces made from habaneros. That said, while this sauce has some heat, I was hoping for more (it’s definitely on the mild side for habanero). If I liked the flavor that would’ve been ok, but I don’t care for the flavor of this sauce at all. The best way I can describe is it has an unpleasant earthiness to it. I’m guessing it is from the urfa chili pepper which I have not had before. It’s a unique and overpowering flavor that does not work for me. I personally cannot recommend this hot sauce. I won’t be trying anymore from the JR line at this $15 price point for a 5oz bottle after trying this flavor.

Second only to the .5326, this is .121 is easily my next favorite Senor Lechuga hot sauce. The heat is a little more mild in comparison to that of the .5326, and .888 of the Joe Rogan collection but it packs a very strong, fresh vegetable and bell pepper flavor that keeps me smothering whatever food I’m consuming with it. Out of the trio of Joe Rogan sauces, I exhausted this one the quickest… which means that I need to order some more ASAP!

I was really disappointed by this stuff. It tastes like they just grounded up the pepper seeds and stems and it all. I love the JRE so I had a fanboy moment when I bought this, but I almost through this one away halfway through. In fact I added some Cholula to it just so I could finish it off.

Not hot, weird flavor. None of us in the house liked it. Doesn’t seem to pair well with anything. Heat is about like a pickled jalapeño, but flavor is just too unique to really compliment anything I’ve tried it with. I would have never bought if not for Rogans name, and I won’t be buying again.
